Safari 6.1.5 and Safari 7.0.5 released

Safari

Apple released Safari updates, making version numbers 6.1.5 for OS X Lion v10.7.5, OS X Lion Server v10.7.5, OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.5, and Safari 6.0.5 which is included in the OS X Mavericks v10.9.4 update.

This Safari update patches multiple memory corruption issues, fixed the security concern that dragging a URL from a maliciously crafted website to another window could lead to the disclosure of local file content. Most importantly, it addresses spoofing of its domain name in the address bar by maliciously crafted website.

Safari 6.1.5 and Safari 7.0.5 updates are available for: OS X Lion Server 10.7.5, Mac OS X 10.7.5, 10.8.5, and 10.9.4.

OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 and Security Update 2014-003

Apple has released OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 update which improves connection to known Wi-Fi networks, improved the startup and reliability of waking from sleep. This update also includes Safari 7.0.5. More detail at About the OS X Mavericks v10.9.4 Update page.)

For OS X 10.8.5 and 10.7.5 users, Apple released Safari 6.1.5 recently.

iOS 7.1.2 with iBeacon, Mail attachement fixes

Apple released iOS 7.1.2 for iPhone 4 (and later), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad 2 (and later). iOS 7.1.2 is a minor maintenance update, it includes iBeacon connectivity improvements, bug fixes and security updates.

Satya Nadella is Microsoft's new CEO

Microsoft has announced its new CEO: Satya Nadella, the man in charge of Microsoft's cloud computing services. He is taking on the new role immediately. Company founder Bill Gates is stepping down as Chairman to be replaced by John Thompson.

Satya Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992, he has been working in the company's servers and tools business, as well as developing the cloud system to support Xbox, Bing, Office and other services.
Bill Gates' new job title at Microsoft is Board's Founder and Technology Advisor.
