Microsoft pays $20 million for Lindows.comMicrosoft has settled down with Lindows (now called Linspire). The exact terms of the settlement remain confidential, but a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing revealed that Microsoft paid twenty million USD for the Lindows domain. SillyDog701 members might recall that Microsoft demanded the domain name MikeRoweSoft.com from a 17-year-old boy called Mike Rowe. Microsoft's lawyers, of course, wrote Mike Rowe strong worded letters demanding the handing over of the domain name. Microsoft said, "MikeRoweSoft.com" is theirs. > Join our discussion at SillyDog701 Message Centre. I have records of the MikeRoweSoft in AntBlog701 in following entries. And what did Mike Rowe receive for reimbursement? Lindows is a Linux based operating system that aims to run Windows application smoothly. > More store at Microsoft, Lindows End Trademark Spat (BetaNews) > Join our discussion at SillyDog701 Message Centre.
