2012 Toyota Rav

Postby James » Tue 12 Jun, 2012 12:09 am

My wife and I took delivery today on a new Rav4 Limited edition with the full navigation package, moon roof and all the other bells and whistles. Pretty exciting to drive this baby home. We paired our smart phones with the car's blue tooth system for hands free telephone via the car's audio. Amazing technology. Love the satellite radio too. I'll try and get a few pics tomorrow.

Nice!
I am sure you will enjoy the new car.

(Antony still doesn't own a car.)

I know, Antony. But you are so poor... remember? Poor Antony. So unlike Don with his BMW. :P

Gotta get some images over to you. This car is really something.

Yes, Antony is poor. :D

As for the Bluetooth thing, we like to hook that up with the iPhone (for music) in rental car when we travel to other state. (Laurent's age-old car does not have bluetooth, of course.) When there's an incoming call, the music automatically gets stopped. And guess what? There's a higher chance to receive incoming calls whenever the GPS is announcing something.

Oh, Don refuses to use GPS because he is worried that his route might be tracked. But he drives his powerful BMW to different states.

You kill me, Antony.

I haven't had a chance to get the pics from my phone to the forum. Maybe by Friday.

Navigation system includes satellite radio. We're also able to make and receive calls through the system without using our hands. Love it.

Looks nice and spacious!

Don was able to carry a (mini) fridge and multiple PC towers in his BMW, I am sure you could easily double the amount Don carried.

(Still dreaming about owning a car.)

Ah yes... but Don lives in picturesque Quincy and I only live on the Oregon coast. Woe is me.

Tomorrow my wife drives it for the first time. She's nervous but she'll be fine.

Well, there's nowhere in the world that beats picturesque Quincy.

I am sure your wife will be fine with the car. Although Oregon is not picturesque Quincy where everybody is friendly, polite and orderly, there shouldn't have many impatient drivers in Oregon's streets as in Sydney.

Drive carefully.

I bought a 2007 Hyundai Sonata GLS a year and a half ago, no problems to report. Had the motor oil, transmission fluid and radiator coolant changed the other day. Good for another 30,000 miles or 48,280.32 kilometers.
