4.8 Mail

Postby swirven » Thu 26 Sep, 2002 10:17 am

Is there anyway that you can use the mail in Netscape 4.8 so that when you click on a link in your mail it will open another browser. I usually just copy and paste to my other browser. I believe I know this answer(NO) but just wanted to be sure. :?

If you want it to be opened in a new browser window, context-click (a.k.a. right click) it and select open in new window.

What I was wondering is if you can get your mail in 4.8 and when you click on a link in your mail you can set it to open another browser such as Netscape 7.0 or Phoenix, something like that. Sorry if it was not clear in the first post.

Yes, if 4.8 is your default. It is for me, for mail as well as Navigator. This is if you want to write mail in 4.8. Is this what what you want?

No, I was trying to find out if there was some kind of way if while reading your mail on Netscape 4.8 when you click on a link on your mail if you can set
it so that another browser will open(like Phoenix or Netscape 7.0). I like the mail on 4.8, but I prefer a different browser. I have been copying and pasting
links, I don't think there is another way, but I was curious if someone had a trick to get around it. Maybe this clears it up. Thanks for the patience. I will spit it out right eventuallly. :D

Hi Swerven,
I believe I know this answer(NO) but just wanted to be sure.

Yup, you got it right the first time. The answer is no.
