7.01 keeps opening a new window when he clicks on a link, instead of opening the link in the same window. he hasn't found a setting to change it. w98, netscape 7.01

Most likely the webmaster/designer designed this way.
You can open in a new tab intead. (either context click* it or Ctrl click** it)
* context click is commonly known as right click
** requries settings in your preference.
