I can offer generic advice only, especially since I have only seen Macs from a distance.
1. You can install Netscape
without choosing the Quality Feedback agent. Just choose a custom install and uncheck the option for the Agent. You may also decide to download, if you can locate one (I couldn't), a customized CCK version of Netscape 7.02 for a Mac that leaves this Agent out.
2. You normally may keep NS 4.x when you install NS 7.02 (at least on a PC). They are separate programs with completely separate files. Very
few people would recommend using only NS 4.x since it is an outdated browser. Some people, however, do prefer using the NS 4.7x mail while using the browser in NS 7.02 (Mail/News is also an optional component).
3. You may wish to do a Clean Install of Netscape. The only
directions I know of are for a PC and are found at Ramona's
Netscape Solutions. She also has directions for a
Custom Install. You will have to translate all of this into settings for a Mac. You may wish to delete (after backing up) the Profile files, which are not removed in a normal uninstall, before you re-install.
I leave you in the hands of others now that I have exhausted my iffy advice.
