I have had 7.1 installed for 3 months after a bloody upgrade from 6.x. All is now good except that if I have open netcape windows and I logoff my dsl connection, when I reopen the dsl, netscape does nothing. I try an action and nothing happens at the bottom of the screen ( ie. "opening xx.con"). No messages,no action.

IE on the same machine is not affected by a break in the connection. When the connection returns, it works. 6.x netscape did not have this problem on my machine.

Any ideas?

What did you do after the"bloody" upgrade. What I am trying to get to is that I hope that you did not use the 6.x Profile for 7.1. That would be enough to drive it insane.

The upgrade did not automatically bring my email messages. After several posts on this forum, it was decided I should reinstall and copy the messages to the inbox etc..

I think the profile is a new one, how could I tell if it is or not?
