Just a couple of mail questions. On occasion -- it has happened twice now -- Netscape 7.01 mail will tell me I have a number of unread messages in my inbox (where I keep all of my read/saved mail) even though I have already read them. The last time it listed 22 in bold print as thought they had not been read. (1) Why does this happen? And secondly, on occasion, when I try to log on to my mail server, NS asks me to put in my password even though I have the remember password box checked. (20) Why does this happen? Any thoughts?

If you previously read them on a webmail interface or another browser, Netscape might do that.

Although they were originally read on NS 7.0, I read them again after the install of NS 7.01 so they WERE, in fact, read on my current browser. I sometimes get the feeling that my computer is part poltergeist.

Hey humpd, I hear that!
When this paranormal occurrence appears, do you delete the Inbox.msf file? If not, do that and see if it exorcises the poltergeist!

Hi,
Hhhh......
Ok this happens when your profile gets altered or corruped how to prevent this is to not change your profile settings if you were doing that.

Thanks for the tip, Ramona. I'll give that a try and let you know. Wellander, I have not altered my profile in any way so that can't be it. As for it being corrupted, everything else is running just fine.
