When creating a new topic, asking for help - it is much easier for the moderators, and other volunteers if we know a bit about your computer. It makes it much easier if you could list the following when posting a topic:

Your version of Mac operating system (Mac OS X, Mac OS 9 etc)
The type of CPU (PowerPC G3/G4/G5, Intel Core Duo etc)


Debating about the pros and cons of Mac OS and other Apple stuff is fine, so long as it does not get out of hand, no 'bashing' of any OS, be it Mac OS or otherwise etc - and of course, strong language must not be used at all, under any circumstances, as children may be reading the material that is posted here.

Just to add some notes about this subforum.

Firstly, you might want to ask why combining Mac OS and Linux (and all flavours)...
Well, at this time, we don't see the needs to have separate forums for each opearting systems yet. Also, Mac OS X is actually based on Unix (FreeBSD).

Secondly, why Safari?
Our Netscape and Mozilla covers Mozilla based browsers, and Safari does not really fit into there. (Please post all Mozilla-based browsers for Mac in Netscape and Mozilla section.)

And MSIE?
We don't really cover Microsoft Internet Explorer at all, sorry. There are Microsoft discussions all over the web, and SillyDog701 is proud to be different.
