1. I have a four year old ..\users directory containing several profiles and 1MB+ e-mails.
2. Is it safe to install 4.7 on Windows 2000. I note the download only says Win95/98 and NT4?
3. How do I work the place to put ..\users in the directory structure for it to be seen?
4. If 2 doesnt work can I load a later version on Win2000 and again where do I put the ..\users directory? I tried Netscape 6 4 years ago but never had enough disc space to complete conversion.

Yes, the folder goes in the same place in Netscape 4.x, regardless of what version of Windows you're using.

Thanks moderator, but I do not have my old directory structure - just the users directory with several profiles. Is it safe to load 4.7 on Win2000 (it only mentions Win98 and NT4 on the download button and it has taken 4 days to install half of MSDN on this machine) or which later versions have an e-mail client that will recogise a correctly placed users directory (I know 6 does but that also only says Win98 and NT4).

Re-install Netscape 4.8 to C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator (default directory) - then copy your user profiles (the Users directory) back to C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users.
