NOTE: These files are hidden by default.
To see hidden files:
1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options
2. Click the View tab
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders
It should give you some idea that you can't do whatever you want. The profile is placed in the above path. Once you have one Mozilla or Netscape profile in the default location, you can have any profile location you like.
I just got a new computer, and I have all the needed files from Win98 backed up on a CD. Then, I set up NS7.1 in XP, as if I started from scratch, and got new profile names. Finally, I copied the needed files. You just can't do move the stuff wholesale. And, this applies to any program.
Don't try to do things the way you think they should work. It does not work that way.
