Active X

When I use Windows help from the start menu, on every other help topic, I get this message:
An ActiveX control on this page might be unsafe to
interact with other parts of the page. Do you want to
allow this interaction?

Then, after clicking "no" I get:

This page provides potentially unsafe information to an ActiveX control.
Your current security settings prohibit running controls in this manner.
As a result, this page may not display correctly.

Don't remember getting this before. Is it something I said?

You never know. Whatever is said will be held against you, nine times out of ten. It is not doing it for me, although I have seen it in AOL, which is based on IE. ActiveX is part of the integration of Windows and IE. And, potentially dangerous, thus the nickname of "Exploder", and, basic insecurity of Window/IE. But, without Active X you may be out of luck in viewing the pages. You may want to take a look at your Control Panel/ Internet Options/Security/Custom Controls button.

Well Fulvio, it's one thing to go to a place, another thing altogether, to know what to do when you get there.
I am wondering, however, if there is any damage being done, by simply ignoring the "Scare Box" and continuing in the help section, because there seems to be an intimation, (pun intended), that the information could be unreliable.

I think that they have to put in the warning. I am not sure if it is all that bad, but it has been placed as a culprit in Microsoft vulnerabilities. I really don't think that have anything to worry, if you keep up with the Windows Updates.
