Ad Shield and Netscape 7

Postby dhumpal » Mon 11 Nov, 2002 5:08 pm

Does Ad Shield work with Netscape 7? It works with IE6 but I cannot get the button to show up on NS7. If it doesn't work, how can I get a pop up stopper to work on NS7? A person told me of a site that has a program on it that restores all of Mizilla's features in NS7 but he said I needed to go to edit - preferences - advanced - Software Install and check the box before I go to the Mozilla site and download the fix but I cannot find a "Software Install" box to check. Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks.

You can get Adblocker installed by clicking here.
Please see Ad blocker thread for more infomation.
Once you installed, all you need to enable/disable it simply through Edit | Preference | Advanced | Script & Plugins | (tick or untick) Open unrequested windows

Restoring Mozilla ad blocker to NS7

Postby humpd » Tue 12 Nov, 2002 9:31 am

Here is a site that says it will restore Mozilla's privacy features (ad blocking) to NS7. Can someone check this out to see if it is, indeed, SAFE to install? Here is the site address: http://www.hmetzger.de/restore.html
Sorry but I do not know how to add a real link to a message in this forum.
