Sending out an email to my entire assn, go to do it as I always do:
1. Compose email. For the "To" put down one of my extra/alias email addresses.
2. For all my readers, go into address book....to a specific address book within it....highlight all the recipients.....click "BCC" and then emails flood into that recipient box within the address book window. Recipient names AND email addresses look fine (for the ones where the address doesn't get chopped off by the view/window).
3. When I go back to the actual message, however, I see that most of the addresses, about 3/4s the way down, have been shuffled somehow: suddenly, next to Bill Smith's name is Betty Stoke's email address, and next to Betty Stoke's name is Bob Swenson's email address -- and so on, alphabetically, as tho the names are all there in order but the email next to them have jumped up one line.
Welll...I tried to send this out, anyway, just to get the damn thing out -- it's an alert -- but now I see that I can't because many people have had their name split: the "Dexter" in say "Tony Dexter" has jumped to one recipient line in the original email and "Tony" stays attached to an email address. I get an error that says something like "Can't send. 'Dexter' needs a domain name."
Any ideas on what the trouble could be? Thanks in advance!!!! ~ Mary
