Address book transfer 7.1 to 7.2

Postby tconfar » Mon 05 Feb, 2007 3:42 pm

I have successfully transfered all of my old mail files from the old to the new computer. I cannot get the address book to do the same. I just get jibberish in the new address book. I am finding the "abook.mab" file, copying it to the desktop and importing it as an LDIf... file. Any suggestions?

You don't do what you say you try. You can either copy the abook.mab file, which you saved, and paste it into the Profile .slt folder, or export the address book in 7.1 as a .ldif file, and then save it into the new computer. Then, import the .ldif file into your address book.
Yo sort of mixed up the two ways. With the first way, you have to get into your Windows Explorer, with NS closed, while the second way requires NS7.2 to be open, and import with the AB open Tools|Import
