Adobe has released security updates for its Adobe Reader and Acrobat software, patching four vulnerabilities “that could cause the application to crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

The new versions of Adobe Reader X and Acrobat X are 10.1.3, and for users who are not using Reader X or Acrobat X, Adobe has released versions 9.5.1.

Users can check for updates in the programs, by choosing Help | [b]Check for Updates[/u]. Updated Adobe Reader is available from http://get.adobe.com/reader/
