Airport Networking

Postby Robert B » Mon 30 Jan, 2006 8:33 pm

I have a eMAc G4 700 mhz running OSX 10.2.8 and an iMac 2.1 ghz PPC G5 running OSX 10.4.4 I have one cable modem
the computers are about 60 feet apart. I need an airport card for the eMac and can't seem to locate one. I went to the Apple store and they don't carry it. Any suggestions?
If I can find a card, which router system would offer the best results?
Any help would be appreciated.

I take that you need to look for an (original) AirPort card (802.11b), instead of AirPort Extreme card (802.11g).
Your local Mac community or eBay might be a good option.

Any standard 802.11b or 802.11g wireless router would work. If you get an 802.11g wireless router, you will need to enable 802.11b (or use 802.11b/g mode).
