News from The Mac Observer,

AMD announced the ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac Edition video card on Monday. The PCI Express video card is compatible with the Power Mac G5 Quad and Power Mac G5 Dual, and includes 256MB RAM, 36 pixel shader processors, two DVI ports capable of driving two 30-inch Apple Cinema HD displays, and can deliver over 37 gigabytes of memory bandwidth per second. AMD says the video card is designed to enhance productivity in the Final Cut Studio applications, Aperture, Motion, and other video-related applications. It also improves 3D game performance.

The ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac Edition is priced at US$349. AMD's Web site has not yet been updated with information about this video card.

I suppose the "G5" part means that this won't work on Intel-based Macs, or on a G4, right?

I have no idea about Intel-based Macs", but G4 does not support PCI Express to my knowledge.
