I am trying to update my webpage to be xhtml compliant by changing the tables to css positioning. I just started changing my page www.freesdtv.com. I uploaded what I did so far onto www.freesdtv.com/test. The words on the page are as I want therm but I can not get the thing centered on the computer monitor. I have tried all sorts of align="center" and "right". The words seem glued to the left of the page. Can you help center this page (www.freesdtv.com/test)?

When I view that test page, I do not see it centered either, but who cares? It is readable and everything there is visible. It seems to me that centering exactly would be hard to do for everybody, since different people are using different screen resolutions and different window sizes in the browser.

You're responding to SPAM. These jerks have gotten a bit more creative. Instead of putting their links at the end by the signatures, they're now inserting them into the body of the post.

This isnt spam. If you look at the page it is a splash page. Splash pages are meant to garner interest. If it was spam I would probably give a link directly to buy the product, and I probably wouldnt have changed my entire code. Anyway, I worked on the site. Instead of just putting margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px; I wrote out margin-top margin-bottom margin right and margin left. This seems to work better. I then added the width px and the margin left together and made sure that it did not exceed 832px because the third smallest monitor is 832X624. All monitors that are 800X600 and 640X480 will get a scroll bar I assume. Does anyone know if you have to make the entire px width smaller than the monitor size or will 832px total across like I did be sufficient? Since I finished the site it is now up on www.freesdtv.com and the original code is now www.freesdtv.com/test. I give this to you so you can look at the source code. Also I was wondering lines 141-150 did not meet the validation on validator.w3.org. I know it has something to do with putting quotes in but I dont know where because I did not make the code. Original code looks like this:

No... I do NOT wish to visit your site. Furthermore, you do NOT need to repeat the link to your site three times in one post. As far as I'm concerned, this is unnecessary. Honestly, I cannot think of anyone here who is sucked into these... "visit my site" either in the signatures or now the bodies of the posts. I find it somewhat strange that a new member rather than introducing him/herself, immediately wants us to visit his/her site for freesdtv in order to see whatever. As far as I'm concerned, your post constitutes SPAM.

Quite apart from whether this is spam or not, being concerned about the size of a monitor is not the most important thing. It is whether the page works in a browser window, whatever size it may be. Everybody on the planet does not have the browser window occupying the entire screen area.

Personally, I believe you can ignore 640x480 visitors. Not saying there aren't any, but it would be hardly any. All modern desktop OS would have (or recommended) resolution much higher than that.

You might want to add following into your <head> ... </head> for iOS users.

I wanted to address the gentleman who kept saying over and over that I was spamming. At first I did not understand it but now I think I do. I think there was a major misunderstanding due to the fact that this man was simply not aware that you can receive code from websites. I invite you to go to any website. It does not have to be mine and right click. From there you will see a pop up menu that says view source. This is the code and this is why I kept inviting people to my website. I hope that clarifies things a little.
