Anyone use Spam Fighter?

Postby corina » Fri 11 Mar, 2005 12:30 am

I've tried it on Outlook Express 6 (Windows XP Pro) and it completely wrecked my ability to use OE., forcing the program to close down each time it was opened.

Has anyone experienced and found a way to remedy this?

My preference for the program is only that it's free. Recommendation on other anti-spam freeware welcome.

Uninstall the program through Add/Remove Programs then run a check of your system files, to do this open a command prompt and type "sfc /scannow" and hit enter.

I don't really like Outlook Express as an email client, and would reccommend Outlook 2003 or Thunderbird, both have filtering capabilities built in.

Did you look at the FAQs for [http://www.spamfighter.com/FAQ_OE_Troubleshooter.asp] Outlook Express [/url]?
I don't use OE, but I am protected by my ISP, at the server level, so it would not be worthwhile to e ven try.
