AOL Mail to AIM Mail Migration

Postby PaulD » Wed 04 Oct, 2006 2:22 pm

Today I tried to send an email to a friend with whom I haven't 'conversed' for awhile. The address that I had was @aol.com. This is the bounce message:
Final-Recipient: rfc822; [my-friend]@aol.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.0.0
Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; host mailin-03.mx.aol.com[205.188.159.57] said: 550
We would love to have gotten this email to [my-friend]@aim.com. But, your
recipient never logged onto their free AIM Mail account. Please contact
them and let them know that they're missing out on all the super features
offered by AIM Mail. And by the way, they're also missing out on your
email. Thanks. (in reply to RCPT TO command)

Yes, I've now located their new ISP address.
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7
