Apple Mail affected to new OS X security issue too

Postby J-M » Wed 22 Feb, 2006 1:21 pm

According to the newer Heise.de article [English language] Apple Mail is affected to recently disclosed Mac OS X Meta Data Shell Script Execution Vulnerability too.

Secunia's updated advisory lists Apple Mail version 2.0.5 (746/746.2) as vulnerable.

Clarification

Postby EddiePaxil » Thu 23 Feb, 2006 2:24 am

Didn't want to start a new thread and have three floating around , however, I've read like 12 different reports and some say the iChat thing was phony and some say this Apple Mail thing is phony. Some say they're both real and it's part of some bigger proble. Can we get a Sticky thread Anthony with some staight information on this whole worm thing. Something straight forward. Just Facts.
