I have just re-installed NS 4.2, MUCH preferred over the "new and improved" versions,

SORRY 'BOUT THAT ....
C O R R E C T I O N .......... I re-installed ... version four point SEVEN ... not 4.2 .........just got up ... still sleepy. Please forgive the confusion.

Would some kind soul please tell me how to DO that?

Click on: "Edit"
The "Remember password" setting is there.
