Beonex Configuration File Error Message

Postby sisyphus88 » Thu 05 Dec, 2002 1:59 am

I get the following error message when I launch Boenex 0.8.1:

"An error occurred reading the startup configuration file. Syntax Error: illegal character. # Mozilla user preferences."

Once I click through the message, I get my profile manager and I can select the profile I want to launch. The program seems to run fine, but I have no idea what it means or how to fix the problem. Any ideas?

Many thanks,
Sisyphus

Go to your profile folder, and remove prefs.js (copy it somewhere first, just in case). Then rename prefs.bak to prefs.js, and you should be fine.

prefs.bak is a last known good set of preferences.
