I wanted to post this in the "Microsoft Windows" forum, but for some reason the option to have polls were not availible.

From the Windows 9x line, Windows 98SE, but not Malignant Edition!
And as for the Windows NT based OSes, Windows 2000 Professional.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Will one of the general forum mods move this to the Win32 forum?

I will join to DJGM votes as far as options available, but the fastest and most stable Windows (yes, they are still Windows) I have ever seen are W98Lite.

My vote would be "OS/2 Warp".
OS/2 was made by Microsoft in the beginning.

98lite... stable? Yeah right! Anything based on NT code will beat 98lite 10x over, no worries.

Actually, 98Micro or Revenge Of Mozilla installs of Win98 are fairly stable, I've had 98Micro up and running for 15-16 days at a time, certainly not XP-ish, but it's a hell of a lot better than the full enchilada.

I have tried Windows XP it’s OK. My laptop uses Windows 98 SE even that’s OK. But on my main desktop computer I use Windows ME so I have voted for that. I know a lot of people here might disagree & think Windows XP or Windows 2000 is the best. But I just think Windows ME the best. ;-)
