Black wallpaper

Postby richard mitnick » Wed 07 May, 2008 7:02 pm

Last night, screwing around with some software , I somehow switched my desktop wallpaper to black. Not knowing what had done, I got really frightened.

But, I had icons, and, hey, it looked really cool. So, I went looking and found it was only that, black wallpaper.

My Dell XPS M1710 Vista laptop and now also my Dell XPS410 Vista desktop but have those slick glassy displays which I love, and many people hate because of glare. On the displays, the black looked as if I had just polished my cars with a fantastic cream whose name I forget, but, deep deep and rich.

So, I also tried it on my two XP machines, neither of which has that glossy display. Stll looks pretty hot.

Of course, I do not see my desktop too much on any computer, because on all four I am crunching 6-8 BOINC projects from all over the worls, and they have fabulous screen savers, which I run.

Try the black wallpaper, especially if you have a glossy monitor.

And, hey, check out BOINC. The URL is below in my signature.
