Browse add-on extensions

Postby ray5450 » Sat 24 Jul, 2010 8:51 pm

It used to be that I could search add-on extensions listed alphabetically by name on Mozilla.com. Sometime within 6 months to a year ago, the list only goes to letter "C" and no more. I would like to also see add-ons from D to Z. I have written to the Mozilla website address since it seems to be an issue with the website, but in the last 6 months since I have inquired 4 times, I have not received any response or has it been fixed.

Any suggestions?..or maybe a better contact?

Thanks.

It depends on how you want to do the Search. Alphabetically? Just below right the Search Addons, there is an Advanced button. Make whatever selection you wish. You will have to change to by Name. What do you want? Addons for Firefox, Thunderbird, Seamonkey? You can make the selection of the version number on the upper left. You can't have every one of the over 156,000 addons ever created.
You can limit your selection by platform, i.e. Windows. 20 per page is default, and you can change that to 50 per page. In other words there will be a continuous string up to 50, if you want the maximum.
At the bottom you will see some numbers 1-first 5-, 2=51-100,etc. If you want over 1000 addons, click on next.
You have to realize that, although, you may want to look at every addon ever created, most people will want to look at a few. I don't know how you got only to the letter C.
I limited my Search to v.3.6, updated in the past three months, and I got 1000 to the letter M.
I don't know how to get all of them. I would rely, on the more recent and relevant addons, for sanity's sake.

I know...

My search criteria:

extensions
v 3.6
Windows
by name

Since I specified 3.6, they should only be recent.

As far as relevant, that is why I want to see them. I want to decide if they are relevant.

#1000 ends with the letter "C". I have looked through those already and found a few that I might use. I want to see the rest, but so far, I cannot.

Thanks.

I have little time to look at every extention which is available, but I understand what you mean, and I have no answer.
