Browser Issue....

Postby Dickerson » Thu 02 Jan, 2003 8:01 pm

I do most of my banking online, through the Wells Fargo Bank web site, which until this week has work flawlessly with my N7 Stand Alone. Suddenly, 3 days ago, my browser is no longer accepted by the site. Here is the web site that defines accepted browsers:

http://www.wellsfargo.com/per/wfonline/ ... oved.jhtml

and here is my browser info:

Netscape 7.0
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020823 Netscape/7.0 (CK-SillyDog)

Could anybody guess why the sudden problem, and should I download the 7.01 Stand Alone?

Thank you in advance...

Michael

Michael,
It is mostly the server's issue.
They might have something setting wrong in their browser detection script.

Try this link: http://www.wellsfargo.com/per/browsertest.jhtml

And I got "Your browser is: Netscape 5.0

Congratulations! "
(using 7.01 Streamline)

I tried the link you sent, and got the same response you did. HOWEVER, when I tried to log into my account, I got the same "Browser not supported" error message.

So, just to see if it made any difference, I downloaded your 7.01 Stand Alone, installed it after uninstalling my 7.0 Stand Alone, then tried to log into my account, and it works great - just the way it did until a few days ago.

Go figure . .

Thank for the link and info.

Michael
