Greetings ...

Perhaps someone here knows the title, artist and source of a piece of music I heard on the March 1997 Academy Awards (aka Oscars) presentation, as background music for the "In Memoriam" segment that salutes deceased stars and contributors. The last portion of this music is also heard at the end of NBC's Sept 26 1999 Ryder Cup telecast.

An MP3 recording of the afore-mentioned "In Memoriam" segment has been saved to a standard WINZIP file (link below). Audio quality is not the best, due to file type and size restraints on the web site I use. While the music plays, you'll hear intermittent applause as the audience pays respect to the various deceased personalities.
