So, you were not asked, during the installation, if you wanted to import the setting from a list of programs. The same way as in NS8.1 installation?
If not, there are two ways to do it. Regardlees, you will have to make sure that the files/folders are not hidden. I gave you the paths, in my previous e-mail, and, I was under the impression that you knew how to access the hidden files of WinXP (the Application Data folders are hidden). Anyway that is what you need to do: To see hidden files:
1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options
2. Click the View tab
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders
4. Disable "Hide File Extensions for Known Files."
5. Click OK.

Method 1 is to right click|copy the bookmarks.html file of NS8.1, and right click|paste it into the Firefox profile folder. You will be asked if you want to replace the existing file. You say yes, and that will cause the 8.1 file to be into Firefox. Do this with both programs closed.
Method 2 is simpler, Select the Bookmarks button|Manage bookmarks|File|Import|find the path to the 8.1 file, which I gave you. Importing the file will cause it to be added to the existing Firefox bookmarks.

Only the IE files? I don't know, because I have never done anything that way. But, I tested File|Import, and NS8 is not on the list. I have IE, NS6/7 or Mozilla, NS4.x and Opera, in my list. I guess that NS8.x is too "foreign".
But, importing the bookmarks file should work.
