Cannot Install IE Tab

Postby Tham » Wed 22 Dec, 2010 1:30 pm

I tried installing two versions of IE Tab, Coralietab
and that of IETab.net for Firefox (since there was no
support for Seamonkey) and the same message came out :

"Install script not found".

I am still using Seamonkey 1.1.18 because it seems
2.0 and above has lots of bugs.

I have not run into any problems with Seamonkey 2.x, which parallel to Firefox 3.6, and, as such can use most of its addons. I am using IE Tab Plus.
It, most likely, won't work with SM 1.1x
By the way, what kind of bugs have you run into, or heard of, for SM2.x?

I remember when first installing 2.0, I had problems
with viewing Youtube and Metacafe videos.

1.1.x will view Youtube, but it still can't seem to display Metacafe.

2.0 also tended to hang at times.

Additionally, I don't really like 2.0 nor Firefox's interface,
which looks very much like IE 6.0 and below, with its tiny
buttons and text.

1.1.x's layout is more pleasing, similar to Netscape 3 and
4 in the old days.

1. No problem with YouTube, and I was, just, watching a Metacafe(Hulu) clip with SM2.x.
2. I have never had it hang, although videos are unpredictable.

As for the interface, I would not know, as I am using different Themes.
I have not had Netscape 3 or 4 for a decade, and I have no recollection what it looked like.
I can only say that some websites which accept Firefox 3.x, do not accept Seamonkey, but I have no problem with IE Tab.

IE Tab is more of a convenience than not. But, my wife must use IE Tab to access marriott.com. She is employed by Marriott, and there is no way to get certain useful information at its website, without IE Tab.
I can give a few examples. One if she wishes to look at her pay stub, the other to print authorization forms for Friends and Family. Most annoying is the fact that it is next to impossible to view benefits information.
