What would happen to a child who created an account here without reporting to Antony first?

Hi,
Here at sillydog.org we do not ask about ages on a regular basis so probably nothing.

Currently, we do not have age-limit in this area. So far, all contents available in SillyDog701 Message Centre are kids safe.
This Message Centre is still technical based, Netscape/Mozilla is still our focus.

We also welcome general chit chats, however, please post in mature behaviour.

However, age limitation might be implemented in the future if necessary.

In a way, that's true. Literally anyone can lie about their age on the internet.

Anyone regardless of age, not having appropriate behaviours will be banned. If you want other people treat you nicely, be polite and show your respect to other people.
As a reminder, we have Rules and Policies.

For those who are underage, your staying in SillyDog701 is welcome, however, mature behaviour is required.

I am 13

Postby Ron Williams » Fri 27 Feb, 2004 11:55 am

I am 13 and I do try to post mature content and stay on the topic of computers. I do not think many children will want to read about this computer related material unless they are intending to go into this field. :)

SillyDog701 does not really want to know about members' actual ages. We respect your privacy.

However, we do request mature behaviour. All childish talking/behaviour is not welcome.
We do ask all members to respect other members.

We do respect your freedom of speech, however freedom is not unlimited. Freedom of speech does not give any people rights to attack other members.

SillyDog701 is not a place for pointless ranting/arguing.

Haven't you noticed that there are a few members who don't behave mature enough, post low quality contents in low level language, and rant/complain for nothing all the time?

Hi,
CouI want to ask what brought this up?
I know that alot of sites have this.
But this is NOT a love and relationship site.
I have not figured this out yet and have been wondering a while now.Hi,

a parent's opinion...

Postby jillpmcd » Tue 12 Oct, 2004 6:25 pm

Just wanted to weigh in on this one. I know this is an old thread - but I haven't been checking in much lately, just saw this topic and think I may be one of the few Silly Dog fans to also be a mother of teenagers...(except for Ramona...you guys seem to be mostly...you know...guys) It is the responsibility of the parents of the child to monitor where they are going and with whom they are interacting on the internet...NOT Anthony's - or any Silly Dog-approved person. As an adult I do appreciate the efforts to encourage a civil, accurate and useful exchange of ideas - but as a parent - controlling my kids' access to the internet/discussion boards is my problem - not Silly Dog's.
Thanks for all the past and future advice!
