I currently still use Composer for my website and am now having problems with netscape to where I can't get my website updated. Should this version still be operating, at least the Composer part? The browser doesn't seem to show up the netscape home page correctly anymore. If the new Netscape browser is downloaded will I still have use of my Composer? Also is the new Netscape browser available on a disk as my dial up computer connection keeps getting booted?

I would not use Composer for websites anymore. The code it produces is far from standards compliant. I'd recommend Nvu, which is like the newer versions of Composer included in SeaMonkey, but more powerful and is a standalone application. It's a small download too. :) I wouldn't use Netscape as a browser either anymore, as it's rarely updated. I'd highly recommend Firefox as a browser; it's a small 5mb download, and can be ordered on CD.

In addition, might I also recommend the Thunderbird e-mail client, as an ideal complement to the Firefox browser.

Since you've been using (the now obsolete) Netscape 4.7, if you're more used to using an integrated internet
application suite with web browser, e-mail and webpage composer, as Netscape 4.7 was, you might like to
try SeaMonkey. It's a bit bigger to download than Firefox, but smaller than the latest Netscape.

Netscape 8.1.2 is a browser only application, and weighs in at 18.3MB, while SeaMonkey is only 12MB.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
