Composer problem

Postby peclem » Fri 13 Dec, 2002 11:46 pm

Composer in Netscape 7.0 will not allow me to paste a copied link in the "create link" window. Any suggestions to overcome this problem?

How did you copy link from?
Context click then select "Copy Link Location"?

composer problem

Postby peclem » Fri 20 Dec, 2002 12:50 am

I copied the URL from the location bar, switched to composer and selected the word I wanted to attach the link to, right clicked and selected "create link", and attempted to paste the copied link into the "link location" bar. I would do this without difficulty in Composer 4.79, however I am unable to paste copied links in composer 7.0.

I context-click the URL,select Copy, then I go into Composer, make sure that I move the cursor at least one space, and context-click and select Paste.
I just tested it, and it works. And, the way you describe doen't.

It appears that I need to copy the URL in a different manner. What is a "context-click" and how do one? I presently right-click on the URL and select copy.

"context-clicking" means alternate clicking (usually "right" click), and you will have a context menu pop-up.

Right-click is not a correct term for south paws, and there are no "left" or "right" buttons for Mac users. :-)g
