Connecting to a network printer

Postby smileyme » Sun 10 Aug, 2003 11:27 am

Hi,

I'm new to Windows, and PCs in gereral.

I would like to connect my PCs (10/100 NIC) to a laser printer on my network, but am unable to find it. I am able to connect to my Macs, and share files between the Macs and the PCs, and the Macs can print to the laser printer. I have 2 PCs (Windows 98 and 2000 Pro). I have a 4 port router with the 2 PCs and one Mac connected directly, and 17 Macs, and the laser printer on hubs connected to the uplink port. All the machines access the internet, but neither PC can find the printer.

I am also unable to access the PCs from the Macs, but this isn't important.

TIA,

Rick : )

Is Airport the router? Myson's roommate has a Mac, and Airport router. My son's PC is connected, but has not been able to access the printer.
I would think that the start|settings|printers should be the way to start, and that the printer should have the Share tab set up. Unfortunately, I do not have anything to compare with.
