DDR-RAM, PC2700 and PC2100

Does anybody know if I can use DDR PC2700 200-pin SODIMM RAM modules on a PC2100 bus? I'm aware that I won't be able to take advantage of the higher speed on the PC2700s, but it turns out that it's become hard to find PC2100 RAM in stores now.

According to user reports and one guy I sold my PC2700 RAM (PowerBook RAM), the RAM can be used with reduced speed.
That guy uses iBook, which takes only PC 2100 RAM.
