deleted emails multiply and attach text to all

Postby acemanrick » Wed 13 Jul, 2005 4:57 pm

My client deleted an email from an secure client. Then needed to retrieve it and found all the deleted emails from the time he deleted it forward had the same text in them. If you get out of the trash nd go back into deleted emails, the text stays on emails that previously were ok. No virus found and no spyware. Deleting the suspect email does not change the other emails back to thier own text.

This client has over 32,000 deleted emails and 15,000 new ones! Could this screw up his system and cause this symptom? HELP!

The question is how did your client delete his emails at the time.

Also, did your client download all emails off the server? or keeps copies in the server?

I don't think that would cause any screw up in the server but might slow down other client's mail downloading. Also, I don't think Netscape Communicator can handle that many emails well.
