Hello,
I am a new member who has looked through search and can not come up with a similar problem as the
on I am experiencing.

I am using Win 2000 SP2 Netscape with Cal 4.79
netscape hung up yesterday, upon ending the process my profile was lost.
When I try to create a new profile I am give the opportunity to select the old profile folder if I do so
and hit finish and everything goes away....netscape does not open. This same thing happens if I try to
create a new profile. For some reason netscape does not seem to retain/ realize there is an existing
profile, so each time you attempt to open navigator or messenger you get the profile manager box. ( if I
check program files\netscape\users a new user folder has been created, but is never recognized)

I have not added any new software not have I made any hardware changes recently. I have removed
and reinstalled netscape a total of 6 times now.
Has anyone here had a similar problem ?

Do you get the Netscape Communicator 4.79 with Calendar from this website?

Okay, firstly, when you install Netscape, do you log in as Adminstrator or Power Users?
When you use Netscape 4.79 were you the same Windows user accunt?

Beside taking into consideration Antony's questions, create a new profile. You can easily copy/paste most of the files.Take a look at this stuff: http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/index6.html#4profile
