Okay, I think it's high time that I tell everyone here what's been going on in the little-viewed Customised Build forum. Since January of this year myself and a few SillyDog701 forum members have been working on a customized package of the Mozilla suite rebranded as Donzilla and featuring plenty of extensions, including Adblock, BBCode, Chatzilla, Checky, Mozilla Calendar, Forumzilla, Googlebar, MAF, and plenty of others. 0.8 is based on the latest stable release (1.7.12 at the time of this writing).

Sounds like you might have a bad download... I know that DJGM and beanboy89 have been able to install it successfully. Try re-downloading it, maybe?

I'm working on a screenshot gallery using the Web Gallery feature in Photoshop Elements.

My report of Donzilla 0.8:

In general, Donzilla 0.8 is a great browser, and works well.

There are a few problems with the final release of Donzilla 0.8.

The modifier key is transposed to Control key, I [sdp=65575]reported this problem[/sdp] during Donzilla 0.8 PR release.
e.g. It's + c for copy and + v for paste, NOT Ctrl + c or Ctrl + v.
Same thing applies to all keystrokes. (:cmd: + N for new window etc). Please note that the menu indicated , not Ctrl.

Again, the problem with [sdp=66457]About Donzilla[/sdp], I got the following Confirm message first before the About Donzilla page. However the confirmation message window is hidden by default, not even shown under Exposé (F10), and can only be revealed by Windows menu.


[sdt=9658]Horizontal mouse wheel scrolling[/sdt] is still not disabled for page forward and back in the default preferences not friendly to for Mighty Mouse users.

I don't have that problem. CMD+C copies and CMD+V pastes for me. Help->About Donzilla does pop up that annoying dialog box, but clicking "Cancel" twice prevents this behaviour from ever happening again. This probably is the result of installing the Googlebar on the Windows version and "importing" the installation to the Mac and Linux versions. And wouldn't that be don.mozfaq.org and not don.moz.sillydog.org?

did you download the new version? And did you use a new profile?

And wouldn't that be don.mozfaq.org and not don.moz.sillydog.org?

Here's how to fix the CMD-vs-CTRL issue:

Edit [tt]/Applications/donzilla-0.8/Donzilla.app/Contents/MacOS/greprefs/all.js[/tt]..

Search for the line saying [tt]pref("ui.key.accelKey", 17);[/tt]
Change it to [tt]pref("ui.key.accelKey", 224);[/tt]

Another problem with the assignment of keys.

The behaviour of home and end keys are wrong in Donzilla 0.8.



The expected behaviour:
When pressing down the home (or end) key, the input box should scroll to the top (or bottom) of the page, and the input point does not get moved. This is similar to page up and page down keys where the screen is moving up (or down) one page, but the input point does not get moved either.

However, in Donzilla 0.8, when pressing home (or end) key, the input point moves to the beginning (or end) of the sentence (line). This is completely incorrect behaviour, as standard Mac users do not expect this. The correct way to move input point to the beginning (or end) of the line is to press + left arrow (or + right arrow).

Nah, you just used the wrong greprefs folder.

Antony, press the F7 key and see if that helps. I think you have Caret Browsing on. I can recreate that effect on Donzilla for Windows if I turn it on.
