When I installed NS7, I did not install it in a separate folder. This has caused no problems until now. For some reason, my email is now being defaulted to the OLD Netscape 4.7 mail. When I use email while in the browser and then diminish it to the bottom screen button area, all seems OK until I get mail. A sound is made (as it is supposed to) and an envelope shows up in the system tray. But when I click on the button for NS7 mail, it cannot retrieve the mail. But, when I click on the envelope in the tray, it goes to the old NS 4.7 mail program and, you guessed it, there is my mail. I have tried going back and making NS7 my default browser again, I have gone into preferences in NS& mail and made sure it was still the default email client (it was). However, my mail is still going to the old NS 4.7 email. How can I fix this? Also, is there a way for me to delete the old NS 4.7 without deleting the NS7? Please help.

Hi humpd,

Open Windows Explorer, click the VIEW menu|FOLDER OPTIONS|FILE TYPES tab and see if there's a URL:MAILTO PROTOCOL listing.

If so, select it and click on EDIT. Point the path to NS7.0 instead of 4.x
