Email & Bookmark problems

Postby dobrphi » Sun 29 Jul, 2007 7:18 pm

I'm running Windows XP Pro at SP2. I recently had problems with the machine. When I got it back I couldn't access my email. The account wizard asked me to register an account and password. I seem to have managed to get back in business as far as I can see. I changed the location file back to the old one in the wizard and 'appear' to have everything back. I haven't downloaded any new emails. I want to get input from you as to whether my process was a complete one or if there are other things I should do over and above the changing of the file name in the wizard. In addition to 'losing' the email, I no longer have any bookmarks. I really don't know what I can do on this front. I would appreciate any help you care to offer.

Thanks.

Regards
Don

Don,
I am not sure if I saw the same post elsewhere, but, it appears to me that you are barking up the wrong tree, i.e. you have a Netscape issue, probably brought by your OS, but you should be posting at the Netscape group.
Just think about of the mail and bookmarks, all of them in a separate folder called Profile, and the link to the program is broken. Nothing is lost, but you can't get from point A to point B, unless you have a working profile. You did the right thing about your mail, but do you have a situation where you need a new profile?
