Email Exports

Postby Walter » Tue 12 Nov, 2002 1:34 am

Hello,

I have Nescape 4.6 and as a subscriber to a mailing list, have about 10,000 messages that I would like to export & use in another database. I can't find an export function, but I know that others have done it (I don't have access to their information)

How can I perform this function? I have also just installed 7.0 so I have access to processes there but I still don't see any export information.

I don't care which application the export would target at this point, I just want to get it out. Then I will worry about reading it. If the data is in a standard format that some ODBC capable program can read, then that will work.

Any information will be welcome.

Thanks for any help

Walter

You will have to be into Mail for 7.0. Then Select: Tools/Import and select Communicator 4.x. I have never done it that way. I always copied the Inbox or other important files(not entire folders) from the 4.x user profiles, and pasted them into the equivalent mail foldser of 7.0. I do not know how well Import utility works, especially with the large number of message which you have.
