evil kids must be punished

Postby Antony » Wed 13 Jul, 2011 8:35 am

In a very un-American move, UK teachers are giving the powers to punish unruly students. A proper discipline including using reasonable force will be introduced to the the school.

Today's evil kids knows about their rights far too well, and are masters of abusing them, including making false accusations against teacher. Outside schools, I've seen interviews from shop owners saying that they have absolute no powers against evil youngsters. Some youngsters (minors) smashed the shop, and not afraid of police as they even read out their rights back to the victim: (In short) they can't be touched, police can't even do anything about them, even if they were arrested, they would be fine at end. (I.e. wasting time calling police).

There is also clarification about other situations in which staff can touch pupils, including holding their hands, putting an arm round distressed pupils, patting them on the back or demonstrating sports techniques in PE.

(...)

In addition, pupils who make false allegations will face suspension, expulsion, or criminal prosecution.

(...)

Parents of children who regularly miss classes could also be hit with court orders and £50 cash fines

I completely agree such move. All kids must be properly punished.

I taught for 32 years and saw how things were changing (and not for the better). When I was offered an early retirement with full benefits, you could not see me for the dust. In short, I was fed up with the fact that my authority in the classroom had been undermined by administration afraid of parents who in turn were afraid of their own children. It's a ridiculous state in which we now find ourselves and it will only get worse as time goes on.

James,

I am not a teacher, but I can see today's kids are pretty much out of order with luxurious lifestyle (and gadgets).
For my memory, few years back, there was a bush fire in NSW, lid by an evil kid. That evil kid enjoyed his laugh (he initially though it was fun), then caught. Punishment for the kid? Merely few thousand dollars fine from his family, and the evil kid did not even say sorry himself. The very well written sorry was delivered by the lawyer.

Few thousand dollars fine hardly mean anything consider evil kid's family is reasonably wealthy. Many many family's lifetime hard work and memories were destroyed for evil kid's laugh.

Few years back during the false accusation from Ronnie Williams, he reminded me that he was only a minor, and he won't be responsible for anything, which means I pretty much can't do anything to him.

I also strongly believe that all kids should be punished like adults, no special treatments.

The kid who lit the fire and destroyed all those memories and homes, should have received detention time... a year's minimum. And the detention should have been hard work (work and eat or don't work and don't eat). Unfortunately we have a lot of bleeding heart liberals who would never allow such barbaric treatment of our precious, porcelain children. They might crack if we subjected them to punishment. Society is truly going to hell in a hand basket I'm afraid.

I agree with you James.

That evil kid who lit the bush fire resulted many houses gone did not receive any sentences. To best of my knowledge, he did not even attend all the court hearings. He has a reasonable wealthy family, which translates to good lawyers.

And, from time to time, you can hear those people pretends to be angels saying that all kids are good, and telling the public to forgive and to "love" all the kids, particularly those troubled ones. Allow me to tell you the reality: if you (an adult) got assaulted verbally by a kid, bad luck; if you assault a kid back verbally, you are in trouble.

A real experience happened to me: During one Easter Show, I decided to take a break and get on to a swing seat in a playground. An evil kid get to me, grabbed my arm, and tried to get me off the swinging seat (so he could use it). I decided not to let go. His parent? Not far away, said nothing, as it was me should give up the swing seat so the evil kid could use it. I should've called the police for the principle, I did not. Anyhow, when I was a kid, I learned to wait for my turn. Today's evil kids, they want it whenever they want it.
