I frequently use Windows Media Player for a few reasons, those being because of other players. RealPlayer brings up annoying ads all the time (even though I have turned them off in RealPlayer, msconfig, and ZoneAlarm), QuickTime is just clunky, and Winamp never supported anything besides MP3, which takes data out of the audio to compress it. Not only this, but I like Windows Media Player's Lossless Encoding for CD copying and Windows Media Encoder (these files sure do take up a lot of space, though. Does anyone think that Lossless is overkill?).

Has anyone used or heared of netscape media player.
Came with netscape 1.x and 2.x.
I used to like that one.

I think I do vaguely remember that, and if I recall it looked a lot like the media player for later versions of Windows CE and Pocket PC 2000.

I think I had it with NS 2.02
I didn't know very much about computers then.
I like Winamp but it is slow and I don't have it on this PC for that reason.
I have Windows Media Player which I favour at the moment.

Does anyone remember Pow Wow?

Huh? Winamp supports movie files, and heaps of types of audio files (WAV, OGG, WMA etc).

I didn't see the poll until just now, so I didn't vote.
Maybe it will let me vote now.

Now that I think of it, the last time that I used Winamp was when it was still version 2.8 (or whichever one came with Netscape) so i guess that I never checked out the new features in Winamp 5.

Let's see... I use Windows Media Player 6.4 for movie files. For music files, I use this great program called DeliPlayer, which is very useful and supports hundreds of music formats. For more info about this go to: http://www.deliplayer.com.
