I updated browsers on 2 machines today. When I did the first machine, there was a blue toolbar asking if i wanted to allow reporting to Mozilla. I selected no.

On the 2nd machine, the blue toolbar only came up for a second, & then went away on it's own without any interaction from me.

Since then, I've been researching trying to figure out if the feature is turned on or off.

My question is, in plain English, how do I find out?

I THINK I may have found an answer, but i am not certain.

In about:config there is a line that reads, "toolkit.telemetry.prompted;" & either true or false. Does true mean reporting is turned on & false mean it's turned off; or is it something totally different?

Fortunately when I booted the next day the blue bar came up again & this time it stayed up until i selected "no", so i guess i no longer need an answer.

I think the more important setting is toolkit.telemetry.enabled, which is false by default.
