Firefox 12: Old Ebay Memory Issue Is Back

Postby geffr » Sun 06 May, 2012 6:30 pm

I don't remember which version this last appeared on, but it's been a long time.

Ebay uses ridiculously memory intensive code for posting listings. On FF 12.0, after posting for an hour or so on a quad core box, much of the ebay "sticky" info on the page disappears. I can't remember what # the last FF version with this issue was, but I believe it was a couple years ago.

Either way, the problem is back. Grr.

I did a Search:
ebay & firefox & memory
, and found out problem as early as v.1, and with every version thereafter, more or less.
