Thanks for the update.

So new features are:
support encrypted Google search  this should keep our super-secrecy friend Don happy.
support "Full Screen" mode in OS X  this would not have Don's approval.
"Plugins can now be configured to only load on click" I don't see the point, but this should have Don's approval.

Technically, it is 14.0.1, not 14.1. Thunderbird came out as 14, while Seamonkey's new update is 2.11.
I like Seamonkey, as it is not so self-important to have increasing new integers, with each update.

Fulvio,

I too like Seamonkey, but the rapid update policy has gotten under my skin, so I have opted out of it for Firefox. Am currently running Fx 10.0.6 ESR instead.

This latest version is a POS. I've been crashing for the past two hours. Finally got so sick of it that I've reverted to Chrome. If the twits at Mozilla would only get their friggin act together and start producing a STABLE version within a REASONABLE time frame, I might be persuaded to make it my default. Seriously... it's no wonder FF is losing to Chrome. What a bloated, unstable piece of junk.

I am using Firefox 14.0.1, and it is working fine for me. It seems quite stable. I like the idea of having to click a placeholder to play a plugin item. Opera has control of plugins built in, and there is an extension for Safari that adds that control for any plugin. It is unfortunate that for audio plugins, the text instructing you to tap the box to start playing is at the bottom and half cut off.

It's been stable for me also.

That said, the only reason I'm agreeing to these ridiculously frequent updates is due to the security patches.

I would also prefer they stayed with one basic build until they first get the next one right, & ONLY release security patches, rather than an entire new version until they're 99% certain the new version is bug free.

The same security updates which you see in Firefox are developed in Seamonkey. Se the User Agent part:
Firefox/14.0.1 SeaMonkey
. But Seamonkey does not give you a large number.

There is another problem with the plugin.click_to_play setting being enabled. YouTube Flash video controls do not work at all if you use it, at least not with Mac OS. I was unable to use the larger video frame or full screen, pause video, or change the volume. I even tried it with add-ons disabled, but the result was the same. There is definitely a bug there.
