Firefox 2.0.0.8 has been released.

Security Update:
The following security issues were fixed.

Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Support:
Firefox 2.0.0.8 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5, although there are some known issues affecting some media plugins.

New Languages:
Official releases for Georgian (ka) and Romanian (ro) are now available. Beta release for Kurdish (ku) is also available for testing.

These seven security vulnerabiities have been rated as Highly Critical at Secunia's new security advisory.

This new version is both security and stability release, says Mozilla Developer Center at

In fact, Mozilla has announced eight vulnerabilities, i.e. MFSA 2007-29...MFSA 2007-36.

MFSA stands for Mozilla Foundation Security Advisory.

It appears that Secunia informs about this fix too:
NOTE: Additional fixes have been added to prevent the exploitation of a URI handling vulnerability in Microsoft Windows.


Only Windows systems are (were :) ) affected in this vulnerabiility.

Microsoft's technical clarification was released hereearlier.
