According to Mozilla Developer Center (and other articles), Firefox 3 Beta 2 expected in late December

If all goes well during the testing, Firefox 3 Beta 2 will be released on December 21st in the early afternoon, Pacific Standard Time.

Please note that this is still not a release to the general public.
