Firefox 3.08 Will Not Load after PayPal add-on Install

Postby humpd » Fri 03 Apr, 2009 11:23 am

I have a problem with FF. Immediately after I installed a PayPal add-on to FF 3.08, I cannot get it to load. I get the Profile manager up, click on my profile and get it loaded up to the point where the add-on manager shows and then FF crashes and I get the report error screen up. I have uninstalled FF and re-installed it with no success. I have tried using my wife's profile with no success. It simply does the same thing I just described. Is there any way to solve this problem without completely eliminating all remnants of FF and doing a completely clean install? By the way, I have tried creating a new profile and after I created it, it does exactly the same thing -- get to the opening screen and it just crashes. Any help greatly appreciated.

Well, I solved the problem. I went to Control Panel and found that the program was in my program files, I uninstalled it and the problem was solved. However, all of my add-ons are now gone! I will just have to install all of them again but it beats the alternatives that were running through my mind.
